Praise for IHS’s Mental Wellbeing Seminar September 2010

The Institute of Health Sciences hosted a public seminar on Saturday 23rd of September 2010 to great success. The focus of the seminar was to examine Mental Wellbeing in our modern society and to explore alternative pathways to optimal mental well-being. The aim of the IHS in hosting events of this nature is to provide education and information on the role of nutrition and alternative medicine in the treatment and prevention of common mental issues such as depression, anxiety, childhood behavioural disorders and neuro-degenerative disorders. IHS endeavour to keep these events accessible and affordable for the public and to  spread the word about the power of nutrition and nutritional therapy in the management of these illnesses. All profit from the event is donated to Irish mental health charities. Thank you to all who attended and especially those that provided their services for no remuneration. We look forward to the next event in 2011.

“Well done for organising such a well-run and enjoyable weekend with such quality speakers. I was astounded that food could really have such a profound effect”.

“I am so delighted to have made time to attend the seminar and found it most helpful and was grateful of meeting people focused on well being….building links, and fostering friendships.”

“I got a lot of inspiration and also new information that I can use to improve my diet and health – it is very empowering. Thank you again to you and your staff. A lot of organisation and effort must have gone into this event and your work is very valuable public service.”

“Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the seminar over the weekend.  I felt a bit like a child in a toy shop, I was so excited to listen and learn so much.  The food was fabulous too. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to learn so much.”
