IHS Dublin lectures take place in the purpose-built Education and Research Centre situated in the beautiful and peaceful grounds of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W. The centre is only minutes from Dublin city centre and is also very accessible from all motorways entering Dublin. The Centre has ample free parking and is well serviced by numerous Dublin Bus routes passing the main gates, including: 16, 16A, 19A, 49A & 54A.
The Education and Research Centre has a dedicated multidisciplinary team of healthcare educators who work in collaboration with universities and other educational providers to meet the needs of Our Lady’s Hospice staff and the wider healthcare community in Ireland. Students have access to the IHS library during their lecture weekends and are encouraged to borrow from the wide choice of nutrition and alternative healthcare books to supplement their reading during their studies. There are free tea and coffee facilities onsite as well as a microwave and fridge for those that wish to bring their own food during lecture weekend. The hospice canteen can provides access to soup and sandwiches and there are a number of cafés in the near vicinity of the centre.
The grounds of the hospice are very peaceful and provide an opportunity during lunch to sit in the rose garden or to take a relaxing walk around the gardens.
